What makes my classes different?

My classes are taught in a group environment with a maximum number of 12 participants. This allows for greater attention and correction to be given to those that require it. I also live stream the classes so if you cannot make the face to face class for any reason, you can dial in from home and still attend.

I offer the opportunity to carry one session over to the next term if you have to cancel for any reason providing 24hrs notice is given. This means you don’t loose your class fee for that session.  I also offer the flexibility to swap your classes around so if you can’t make your regular day you can swap to another day providing there is space.

I have been teaching Pilates for over 20 years and have gained much experience with back and joint problems, sciatica, pre and post-natal Pilates – and know how to adapt the exercise to suit each individual.

All my classes are mixed ability with the majority being beginners and intermediates.

If you are new to Pilates I will ask you to carry out a 1-2-1 session with me first, so you understand the terminology. I will also show you how to execute some exercises so when you come into class you won’t feel lost.

I also have considerable experience with pre/post-natal women. In pre-natal women I adapt the exercises to suit the trimester keeping a close eye on their postural changes as the curving of the lower back and rounding of the shoulders can put undue stress on the joints and cause back aches through pregnancy. In post-natal women I will check for diastasis recti, which is the splitting of the abdominals, which can happen in the third trimester and advise how to bring them back together or strengthen the muscles either side depending on the severity to avoid postural weakness.

Hope to see you in one of my Pilates classes soon! If you are interested in joining but unsure – give me a call on 07958 442 382.
